10 Call Forwarding
This chapter describes different ways to forward incoming calls to other
numbers, or the operator.
The type of call forwarding described in this chapter is called Follow-me.
Follow-me is useful when, for example, you are working temporarily from
another room and want your calls to follow you to that room, or if you
want your incoming calls to be forwarded to one of your extension
number.
Another type of call forwarding is when you divert your calls to the oper-
ator or your voicemail due to absence of some kind, see 13 Presence
Information on page 80.
When you order follow-me, the feature is indicated in the phone display.
The display informs you whether the extension is being forwarded to
another extension or an external number. The Follow-me key indicator
is also lit.
Note: When Follow-me is activated, your phone can still be used for
outgoing calls. As a reminder, you will hear a special dial tone
when you lift the handset.
10.1 Follow-Me
Follow-me allows you to redirect incoming calls to another extension
within the network. You can enter the number manually of from a
contact.
10.1.1 Ordering Follow-me From Own Telephone
To order Follow-me from your extension to another extension, do the
following:
1. Press the soft key Availability.
2. Select Follow-me and press Select.
3. Enter the new answering position number.
OR
Press more..., select Set from Contacts and press Select. Select
a contact and press Set.
4. Press Done.
